Winter/Spring 2005 Speaker Biographies

Fr. Dan O'Reilly is the parochial vicar at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY.  A Bronx native, Fr. O'Reilly attended Regis High School in Manhattan and graduated from Princeton University in 1997.  He
attended St. Joseph Seminary in Yonkers and was ordained to the priesthood in 2003.

Fr. Edwin Cipot is the Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of New York.  A New Jersey native, Fr. Cipot attended elementary and high school in New Brunswick, NJ and was a baseball player for the New
York Mets.  After retiring from baseball in 1982, he studied acting in Manhattan and performed in films and off-Broadway plays.  A graduate of Fordham University, Fr. Cipot was ordained to the priesthood in 2000.
Internationally known lecturer and retreat master Father Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R, is a professor of pastoral psychology at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers.  The director for the Office of Spiritual Development of the Archdiocese of New York, he is also a founding member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.  A prolific author and regular guest on EWTN, he is the founder of Trinity Retreat, a center of prayer and study for the clergy.

Fr. Stan Fortuna, C.F.R. is one of the eight original members of the Community of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, a community established in the Archdiocese of New York under the jurisdiction of John Cardinal O'Connor in 1987.  An accomplished jazz, reggae and rap musician, Fr. Stan travels all over the world sharing the Gospel through his music and dynamic preaching.  Please visit Fr.
